YouTube has started paying thousands of dollars to those who make videos for shorts

YouTube announced earlier this year that users of the 'Shorts' feature will now be able to make money by posting short videos on the platform.


Google-owned company has launched a 100,100 million YouTube Shorts Fund for YouTube Shorts, a feature that features the TickTock video app. This will allow subscribers of short videos on YouTube to be paid between 2021 and 2022 for 'most' and 'most watched' videos.

The move by YouTube is said to be aimed at attracting video makers to this 'short' feature.

According to YouTube, "payments for short video makers will begin in August this year."

Each month, YouTube will invite thousands of video makers to raise money. These payments can range from 100 100 to 10,000. This will be determined by including short video views.

Google-owned company declined to disclose payment terms to video makers. However, it is clear that viewing and subscription numbers for payments may change each month.

According to US technology website TechCrunch, YouTube says it will set a standard for payments based on reviews of efficient channels. The bonus will then be determined on the basis of views, country and city of the audience, etc.

According to YouTube, you want to pay as many video producers as possible, so the minimum amount is set to 100 100.

Who will earn money on YouTube?

The YouTube Shorts Fund will donate money to those who create original content. Those who re-upload videos from other channels or forums will not be charged.

Creators must be 13 years or older to earn money on YouTube Shorts.

YouTube will pay users the same way.

According to YouTube, not only will the videos uploaded this month be tested but also the views of all new and old videos on the channel to check out the bonus.

The channel must have uploaded at least one 'short' one in the last 180 days and comply with YouTube's Community Guidelines, Copyright Laws and monetization policies.

People who join the YouTube Partner Program will be eligible for this bonus program, but video producers whose monetized YouTube channels will not qualify for this bonus program.

How will YouTube identify used content?

Because there are currently many tools that allow video makers to make different types of the same video with full or partial editing, there is a risk that users will not be able to access Tick Talk or other platforms despite restrictions. Re-upload the video to YouTube.

However, Google-owned company says it will ensure automation and human reviews to promote original content and prevent reuse.

Originally under the YouTube Shorts Fund, users from the United States, Brazil, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Nigeria, Russia, South Africa and the United Kingdom will be able to use the program, which will be rolled out to other countries later.
